Kawasaki has taken the wraps off its latest creation, the Ninja ZX-4R, an insane four-cylinder 400cc supersport that is more powerful than most 650cc bikes. It is available in three variants: standard, SE and RR. Check out the Ninja ZX-4R in detailed images.
In terms of appearance, the Ninja ZX-4R gets an aggressive and sharp body design; however, it looks a bit too similar to its smaller sibling, the ZX-25R.
Powering this crazy supersport is a 399cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine belting out 80PS (with ram-air technology that forces air into the engine, resulting in more power). This makes the ZX-4R 12PS more powerful than the Ninja 650. The supersport can rev over 15,000rpm and is fairly light too, at 188kg kerb.

Accompanying the engine are electronics including Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), four power modes (Sport, Rain, Road and Rider), and an optional bidirectional quickshifter.
Underpinned by a trellis frame, the ZX-4RR runs a Showa SFF-BP USD fork and a compression, rebound and preload adjustable monoshock suspension setup.
For braking, the ZX-4R gets a twin 290mm discs up front and 220mm unit at the rear with dual-channel ABS, and rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Ninja ZX-4R comes packed with a bunch of modern features including a 4.3-inch colour LCD display with smartphone connectivity. The console has a track mode, which displays lap times, gear position and rpm. Sadly, navigation has been given a miss.
It is priced at an equivalent of around Rs 7.93 lakh in the U.S. but sadly, it is unlikely to come to India. Prices of the other variants are yet to be revealed, and the bike will be launched in Europe this autumn (September-November 2023).
