Since being put on sale in February 2021, Kabira Mobility has received a great response for its electric motorcycles, the KM 3000 and KM 4000. After 6000 units were booked in just four days, further bookings have now been temporarily suspended as the first lot of bikes has been accounted for.
While these electric motorcycles boast good performance, we found serious issues with both the bikes. Our first ride experience with the two Kabiras was plagued with mechanical maladies. Yet, there is a glimmer of hope that the company will resolve all glitches by May 1, which is when the bikes are slated for delivery. Can it be a worthy rival to the Revolt RV400?
Here’s the company’s official press statement:
India’s Fastest Electric Bikes KM3000 & KM4000 receives over 6000 bookings in 96 hours
Verna - Goa, March 4, 2021: Kabira Mobility, the Goa-based start-up which has launched India’s fastest electric bikes KM3000 and KM4000 last month got tremendous responses from the customers. Within the 4 days of its launch, Kabira Mobility registered over 6000 bookings from Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
With the production for the 1st batch already sold out Kabira Mobility has been compelled to close the booking temporarily. The pre-booking for KM3000 & KM4000 had started on 25th February and has to close it by 28th February as the booking number has crossed the 1st batch production capacity. The pre-bookings dates for the 2nd batch will be announced soon.
Mr. Jaibir Siwach, CEO of Kabira Mobility said that ‘Both the bikes have received an overwhelming response, we are working closely with our component suppliers & partners to ensure timely delivery but without compromising on the quality. The number of bookings we got within 4 days proves that as a nation we are cautious about protecting our environment and adopting green mobility solutions. So, as an automotive manufacturer, the onus is on us to provide best in class product with a check on cost as well”.
Kabira Mobility plans to cater to the increasing demand by raising the production capacity for the bikes gradually over the next few months. Kabira Mobility will start the delivery of the bikes from 1st May 2021 onwards in the select cities through its authorized dealers. To meet the demand of providing bikes across the country and after-sales Kabira Mobility is aiming to expand its dealership network in Tier I and Tier-II cities.
KM3000 & KM4000 are ‘Made in India’ high-speed bikes equipped with Combi-brakes, fast charging onboard, and roadside assistance, making them as appealing as the ICE motorbikes in terms of style and performance.
