Here’s When The Tata Sierra Will Arrive In India…

For some, the Tata Sierra is just a name, just another upcoming SUV. But for some enthusiasts, it is more than that! It gives you the 90s vibe combined with modern styling elements and top-notch features that will help it compete with similarly-priced SUVs. 

The good news is that the Tata Sierra ICE is coming to India very soon! And by very soon we mean the second half of fiscal year 2025-26. So the most-awaited SUV will be launched anytime between October 2025 and March 2026. Ahead of its launch, here’s all you need to know…

Tata Sierra Design 

The design of the Sierra clearly retains the essence of the original Sierra, and you can see the iconic design touches of the unforgettable OG! However, there are plenty of modern elements to keep it relevant and appealing in today’s times.

Up front, it boasts a large rectangular grille with a Tata logo, sleek LED headlights and LED DRLs that span the width of the fascia. The front bumper with gloss black inserts and a chunky silver skid plate round off the front end design. 

From the sides, you can see the upright stance, reminiscent of the original model. Flush door handles add to the modern appeal, while the large wheel arches with a gloss black finish add to the muscular look. It sits on sporty looking multi-spoke alloy wheels. 

The highlight of the profile is how Tata has tried to recreate the rectangular rear window look with the upcoming model. However, it has a split configuration due to the five-door layout.

The rear end has an upright stance and sports sleek full-width LED tail lamps and a bumper with a silver skid plate. While it misses out on the tailgate mounted spare wheel, we are not really complaining about its absence, as the current look suits the overalls minimalist design more. 

Tata Sierra Interior 

The Tata Sierra will debut the floating three screen setup that spans the entire width of the dashboard. The cabin looks futuristic and minimalist, and features plenty of yellow touches that makes the cabin eye-catching. It gets the familiar four-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo.

The second row gets a bench seat with three adjustable headrests, and one can expect the rear seat to come with AC vents, charging ports and rear sunblinds for added comfort.

Tata Sierra Expected Features

While Tata has not disclosed the features list of the Sierra ICE, one can expect it to come with a bunch of premium features. It is likely to get multi-colour ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and powered front seats with ventilation.

Passenger safety should be taken care of by up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS. 

Tata Sierra Engine Options

Just like the features, the powertrain options are also kept under wraps. However, we expect Tata to provide it with the 170 PS 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine. Moreover, it could also get the familiar 1.5-litre diesel engine. 

Tata Sierra Expected Price And Rivals

The Tata Sierra will be positioned in the extremely popular compact SUV segment. It’s expected to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). This means it will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and MG Astor.

We are all excited for the launch of the Sierra, and it will surely be a beautiful SUV to see on our roads.
