Features That The Mahindra XUV 7XO Could Borrow From The XEV 9S

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is getting closer to its unveil date, and as the date progresses, the hype around it is building up. While we still await an official feature list, we do know that the XUV 7XO is the ICE counterpart of the XEV 9S, which was launched a few weeks back. Keeping this similarity in mind, we anticipate that these cars might share most of their features. This story will give you an overview of what features can be expected from the upcoming XUV 7XO, which might be borrowed from the XEV 9S. 

Here are some features that we can expect in the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO: 

New Interior Theme

Early teasers suggest the Mahindra XUV 7XO will get an all-new interior in a dual-tone theme. The dashboard design is in line with what is seen on other Mahindra EVs like the XEV 9S and XEV 9e. The colour scheme of the cabin might be different, but they are very similar in design.

Two Spoke Steering Wheel With Illuminated Logo

The teasers released by Mahindra have confirmed that the XUV 7XO will feature a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the centre. This is the same steering which is also offered in the XEV 9S and XEV 9e.

Triple Screen Layout

As confirmed by the teasers, taking the centre stage in the dashboard will be a triple-screen setup. This will house three 12.3-inch screens for a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and a passenger entertainment display, similar to what is offered in its siblings, the XEV 9S and XEV 9e. 

16-Speaker Harman Kardon Sound System With Dolby Atmos

Love jamming songs inside your car? The XUV 7XO is expected to feature a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Sound System with Dolby Atmos. We have seen this previously in the XEV 9S, and it is expected to make its way on the XUV 7XO as well. This setup provides an immersive experience with a touch of premiumness.

AR Heads-Up Display

Another key feature which is offered on the XEV 9S is the AR Heads-up Display, which proves useful in real-life driving conditions and especially if navigating through unknown roads. This feature is expected to make way on the XUV 7XO as well.

New Seats

The XUV 7XO is expected to get the same set of seats that are offered on the XEV 9S. These seats provide better cushioning and support and will be loved by occupants.

Ventilated Rear Seats

The outgoing XUV700 does come with ventilated seats on the front row, but since rear seat ventilation has been offered on the XEV 9S, Mahindra should be offering the same on the XUV 7XO as well. This is one of the most useful features in our country’s harsh summer weather.

BYOD Entertainment Screen Slot

The BYOD Entertainment Screen Slot will allow passengers in the second row seats to mount their devices on the back of the front seats and easily sync them with the car’s infotainment system for personalised entertainment. This feature was also previously seen on the XEV 9S & 9e, and is expected to be offered in the XUV 7XO as well.

Powered Tailgate 

Another key addition in the feature list might be a powered tailgate. This is simply because this feature is available on the XEV 9S, and to follow this trend, Mahindra might as well offer this on the XUV 7XO.

The upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to carry the same tried and tested engine options that have impressed its loyal customers since the start. Apart from the features, it will also get changes to the exterior so that it stays fresh in the segment and appeals to all types of buyers.

The official feature list is still awaited from Mahindra, but from what the teasers have hinted so far, the XUV 7XO is expected to be back with a completely new identity. With a tech-laden cabin and new interior layout, the upcoming XUV 7XO is ready to take on its rivals and show them why this car has been so widely loved by Indian customers.
