Top 5 Features Expected In The Mahindra XUV 7XO!

Mahindra has released a few teasers over the past couple of days, suggesting what the upcoming XUV 7XO could be like. It is expected to boast exterior tweaks, but most importantly, a list of new features that could be game-changing. While some of them have been confirmed, some are still speculated. Take a look at what some unique features could be offered on Mahindra’s updated flagship SUV. 

Here are 5 new features that we can expect in the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO: 

Triple Screen Layout

One of the main highlights revealed in the teasers of the XUV 7XO is its triple screen layout, which takes centre stage in the dashboard. This setup consists of three 12.3-inch screens for a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and a passenger entertainment display, similar to what is offered in its siblings, the XEV 9S and XEV 9e.

Massaging Seats

A premium and relaxing feature that could be on the cards for the XUV 7XO is a Massage function for the front seats. If Mahindra offers this, the 7XO will be the first in the segment to get such a feature. This will not only make long drives enjoyable, but also provide a relaxing treatment to your body.

Powered Boss Mode

Another feature that has been confirmed from the teasers is a powered ‘Boss Mode’. This will allow electric adjustment of the co-driver seat while sitting in the back. It will be a feature that will be appreciated by chauffeur-driven buyers. 

Ventilated Rear Seats

While most cars offer ventilation in the front row of seats, the XUV 7XO is expected to offer ventilation in the second row of seats as well. This feature will prove to be useful in our country’s harsh summer days and will improve the comfort for rear occupants.

BYOD Entertainment Screen Slot

As seen on the XEV 9S and the XEV 9e, the upcoming XUV 7XO is also expected to get a BYOD Entertainment Screen Slot. The BYOD setup allows rear passengers to mount their devices on the back of front seats and easily sync with the car’s infotainment system for personalised entertainment and control features like the climate control. You can stream all available apps with this setup.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Exterior Changes 

From what the teasers, spy shots, and leaked photos suggest, the XUV 7XO is expected to get a significantly updated exterior. The front is expected to be completely redesigned, featuring a new, more sculpted bumper, revamped grille, new LED headlights and DRLs.

A teaser released earlier suggests that it will get a new design for the alloy wheels. At the rear, the overall profile is speculated to be inspired by the XEV 9S, sporting redesigned taillights and a new bumper. All of this combines to deliver a more premium and appealing design.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Powertrain Options 

The Mahindra XUV 7XO will most likely continue with the existing powertrain options as the pre-facelift XUV700, which include a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2-litre turbo petrol engine. Manual and automatic transmission options should continue, too. The diesel engine is also expected to come with an optional all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Launch Timeline And Expected Price

Pre-bookings for the Mahindra XUV 7XO are already open for interested customers at an amount of Rs 21,000. The official unveiling of the car is slated for January 5, 2026, but Mahindra has yet to confirm an official launch date for the same. 

The pricing of the XUV 7XO is yet to be revealed, but considering the pricing of the outgoing model and the anticipated updates on the new model, we expect the XUV 7XO to be priced from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, while the top-of-the-line variant could be priced upwards of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra XUV 7XO Rivals 

Once launched, the XUV 7XO will take on the likes of the Tata Safari and Harrier, the recently updated MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Jeep Compass.

While Mahindra hasn’t revealed all the details yet, the anticipated updates hint at a more modern and premium XUV 7XO. With a tech-laden cabin and refreshed identity, Mahindra seems to be ready to reposition its flagship SUV for a new start.
