Kawasaki has updated the KLX 230 range for 2027. The range now consists of the standard KLX 230, the off-road only KLX 230R S, and the new KLX 230S. The 2027 versions of the standard and the RS models have become more expensive than the outgoing versions.

The KLX 230 and 230 S are priced at Rs 2.19 lakh, which is a hike of Rs 35,000 for the std variant, while the off-road-only KLX 230R S is now priced at Rs 1.89 lakh. The new KLX 230 S is priced at Rs 2.19 lakh (all ex-showroom).

Kawasaki KLX 230

All three models get the same 233cc single-cylinder engine making 19PS and 19Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox, a telescopic fork, a monoshock, and a 21-inch front spoked wheel, and an 18-inch rear spoked wheel. The three bikes differ in terms of wheel travel, ground clearance, seat height, and weight.

Kawasaki KLX 230

The KLX 230 has always been a very capable off-roading bike, especially if you want to get into competitive or hardcore off-roading. The standard and S are road-legal versions that allow you to ride to the nearest trail without having to worry about transporting the bike. The R S, on the other hand, misses out on everything that makes it road legal. This allows it to shed some weight and instead increase its off-roadability with upgraded components. It’s meant for those who already have the means to transport the bike to the trails or the off-roading locations.
