It’s World Environment Day tomorrow but before that, we’ve got some electric news for you. BGauss has teased its upcoming electric scooter, the BGauss RUV350, and has also confirmed that the EV will be launched on June 25, 2024.

The RUV350 will most likely be the successor to the BGauss D15 in the EV maker’s lineup as the D15 is not listed on its website anymore. The D15 was the most expensive offering from the EV maker and it had 16-inch wheels, which is quite rare in scooters. In that manner, it was similar to the Okinawa Okhi90.  Similar to the D15, it looks like the BGauss RUV350 also gets 16-inch wheels and the alloy wheel design looks similar as well. It gets a telescopic fork and single shock absorber suspension setup, along with drum brakes at both ends. The headlight cowl, front fender, and the lower portion of the front apron look very similar to that of the D15. Considering the D15 came with an ARAI-certified (Automotive Research Association of India) range of 115km, the RUV350 can be expected to get a claimed range of over 100km.

The RUV350 will most likely get all-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console. It gets a luggage hook at the front apron and a single-piece grab rail at the rear. While the underseat storage space seems quite small, because of the slim tail section of the scooter, the floorboard space looks pretty roomy. The BGauss RUV350 electric scooter is expected to be priced around Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom including EMPS 2024, which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024). It will rival the likes of the Bajaj Chetak Urbane, Ola S1 Air, Ather 450S and TVS iQube (2.2kWh).
