Audi Q3 Sportback Coupe-SUV All Details Revealed

• Audi Q3 Sportback is now available to book for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. 

• To be offered in top-spec Technology trim level with S-Line trim package as standard.  

• Powered by 190PS 2-litre TFSI petrol engine with Quattro all-wheel drive. 

• Likely to carry a premium of around Rs 4-5 lakh over the Q3’s Technology variant. 

After multiple teasers, we finally have a word from Audi about the upcoming Q3 Sportback luxury coupe-SUV. The carmaker has opened the order books, so you can place a booking for it at dealerships or on the carmaker’s official website. 

We expect the SUV to be launched in the coming days, likely priced at a premium of up to Rs 5 lakh over the top-spec Q3 SUV which retails for Rs 50.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Technology variant. Here are all its details.

Design and colours 

The Q3 compact luxury SUV is the smallest model in Audi’s global lineup to receive the sleeker, coupe-esque ‘Sportback’ treatment. The existing Q3 is a proper SUV with an upright tailgate, and, while the Sportback gets the same styling up front, it has a longer tail-end with a coupe-like sloping roofline.

Audi Q3 Sportback in Turbo Blue 

It’ll be offered in five colours:

• Glacier White

• Chronos Grey

• Mythos Black

• Navarra Blue

• Turbo Blue 

The Turbo Blue paint shade is unique to the Sportback model, while the SUV gets a bespoke Pulse Orange colour option.

Interior and features 

Inside, the Q3 Sportback looks identical to the Q3 SUV and gets the same interior colour options – Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige. It’ll be sold in a single top-spec Technology variant with the S-Line trim package as standard. Meanwhile, the Q3 SUV is also offered in a lower-spec Premium Plus trim level.

• Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus digital driver’s display

• Dual zone climate control

• Wireless phone charging

• Gesture-controlled, powered tailgate

• Comfort suspension setup 

In terms of safety, the Q3 Sportback will be equipped with the following features: 

• Six airbags

• Tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 

• Hill start assist

• ISOFIX child seat anchors 

• Auto-dimming inside and outside rearview mirrors

• Parking Aid Plus with reversing camera 

• Anti-theft wheel bolts

Audi Q3 Sportback Powertrain 

Similar to its SUV sibling, the Q3 Sportback is powered by a 2-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine that makes 190PS and 320Nm of torque. It’s good for a nought to 100kmph sprint time of 7.3 seconds and is paired with a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is offered as standard.
