2022 was special for Honda as it revived two historic monikers, the XL750 Transalp and the CB750 Hornet, introducing them in a modern avatar, both based on a new 750cc parallel-twin powerplant.
But now, the Japanese brand could be looking to add a retro twist to the versatile platform. According to a Japanese publication, the brand intends to introduce what could be called the GB750, a 750cc retro bike. Feast your eyes on the render of the GB750.

Here’s What’s On Honda’s Menu For India For 2023

It looks properly retro with a round headlight, console, mirrors as well as fork gaiters. The sleek cylindrical LED indicators, ribbed seat and upswept exhaust though, make us feel like we are looking at a Honda CB350RS, albeit with a parallel twin heart. Are wecomplaining? Absolutely not! The RS is a good looking bike and with a larger engine it does sound promising.

All things said, even if such a bike is in the pipeline, it’ll be some time before it’s actually launched. But the thought of it is definitely exciting considering the middleweight retro segment is witnessing a boom, and a 750cc Honda retro bike will definitely sell like hot cakes! The gorgeous Kawasaki Z650RS and the hugely popular (and affordable) Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 will then get a worthy rival.
