The 2025 MG Hector and Hector Plus refresh has been launched in India today at a price of Rs 11.99 lakh(ex-showroom). This is now the second major design refresh for the Hector lineup, which was launched in 2019. It now features a more modern design, updated interior design elements, the latest technologies, and a more substantial presence on the roads, thus keeping it current within the rapidly developing mid-size SUV segment.

The 2025 MG Hector and Hector Plus receive a more aggressive design update, which allows them to have better road presence. The key change is the significantly larger grille, which is clad in a diamond pattern of honeycomb mesh with chrome garnishes. Of course, the characteristic split headlights continue with the LED Daytime Running Lights placed high up, accompanied by projector headlights lower down on the newly redesigned bumper that features a silver garnish on the lower air dam.

Overall, some differences are apparent but are subtle. These include retention of its sporty look through the use of the connected LED blade taillamps and sporty elements in the form of chrome accents on the skid plates, roof rails, as well as their robust look.

While the higher variant models retain dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, other minor variations include a redesigned wheel pattern, a slight change in the rear bumper design, as well as two new colour options called Pearl White and Celadon Blue.
On the inside, the biggest attraction in the facelift remains the entertainment system. The Hector lineup, as before, gets a 14-inch vertically mounted HD touchscreen. The system supports wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and is based on MG's revised i-Smart connectivity solutions. As part of this update, MG has also added an i-Swipe gesture control feature along with an upgraded 10GB RAM for a smoother experience.

The cabin retains the same design, with a digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery in top variants, and two-tone interiors. The ventilated front seats, ambient lighting with voice command, panoramic sunroof, power driver seat, and Infinity sound system are also available, based on the trim.

Mechanically, the 2025 MG Hector and Hector Plus continue to be identical to the previous car. A 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
