Nissan India is ready to cash in on the upcoming festive season by launching the Magnite facelift on October 4. The teaser campaign is in full flow and you can now book the upcoming facelifted sub-4m SUV to skip the queue and get its delivery at the earliest, which will begin from October 5. Here’s what the teasers have divulged about the Magnite facelift till now:
Given that it is a facelift, and not a new-generation model, we don’t expect the styling to be brand new. Expect a very similar exterior design with tweaks all over, which will give the Magnite a fresher look.
Spy shots have confirmed that the silhouette will be the same and the teasers have hinted at a new grille design, along with fresh alloy wheels as well. The rear will also get new elements in the form of the already-teased tail light design, which seems to be slightly tweaked over the outgoing model. There will also be a new orange hue on offer.
As for the cabin, it seems like the overall design is going to be similar to the outgoing model, but with a new dual-tone black and orange theme, contrasted by silver panels. Apart from the new theme, it could also get a bigger infotainment system and digital driver’s display.
Existing kit, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a JBL sound system, keyless entry, ambient lighting, an air purifier, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls and a wireless phone charge should be carried over without any change. Its safety kit could boast 6 airbags as standard, along with other equipment like ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and 360-degree parking camera with sensors.

We don’t expect any revisions in the powertrain department. So the existing 72PS / 96Nm 1-litre naturally aspirated engine, and 100 PS / up to 160 Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol engine should make up the engine options. A 5-speed MT and AMT with the NA petrol, and 5-speed MT and a CVT gearbox with the turbo-petrol are likely to be the transmissions on offer.
We expect the facelift to carry a slight premium over the outgoing model, which is sold from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The Magnite will continue to rival the Tata Punch, Toyota Taisor, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Citroen Basalt.
