2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class And GLC Launched With New Feature Updates

• Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets a new top of the line C 300 AMG Line with petrol powertrain.

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all new C 300 AMG Line in India, replacing the C 300d at a price of Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from introducing this range topping C-Class variant, the C 200 and C 220d have also been revamped with new feature additions as part of the 2024 update. Similarly, its best-selling SUV, the GLC also gets additional features to further enhance its appeal. Let's take a look at all that has been included in the 2024 updates for the C-CLass and GLC in detail:

Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line

The top-of the line C 300 AMG Line gets a new petrol powertrain replacing the diesel powered C 300d. The AMG Line gets cosmetic enhancements over the standard C-Class variants such as sporty AMG spec bumpers and AMG Line rims. Similarly, the interiors also get a sporty theme with the “Night Package” as standard, which brings in carbon-fibre bits, a blacked-out interior theme along with an AMG steering wheel. Other niceties include a premium Burmester 3D surround sound system, adaptive LED lights, blind spot assist, augmented reality for navigation and heated and ventilated front seats. 

The top-spec C 300 AMG Line is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine mated to a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission producing 258 PS and 400 Nm. This powertrain helps the C 300 AMG Line to sprint from a standstill to 100 kmph in 6 seconds and can gain a top-speed of 250 kmph. 

The outgoing C 300d used to be powered by a 2-litre turbo diesel unit producing 265 PS and 550 Nm.

Mercedes-Benz C 200 And C 220d 

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class lineup includes the petrol powered C 200 and the diesel powered C 220d. Both these variants get new features added as a part of the 2024 update. 

These additions encompass ventilated and heated front seats, fast charging USB type-C ports, 360-degree camera adaptive LED lights with high-beam assist and digital key handover functionality. The new C-Class also adds two new hues to its colour palette: Sodalite Blue and Patagonia Red Bright (C 300).

Mercedes-Benz GLC 220d And GLC 300

The Mercedes-Benz GLC has been the highest selling SUV from the German manufacturer and for 2024, few feature additions have been made to both the variants to further amplify their value proposition. The new GLC now sees the inclusion of heated and ventilated front seats and new airbags for rear seats, which now sums up to a total of 9-airbags.

Prices And Rivals

The C-Class rivals other mid-size luxury sedans like the BMW 3 series and Audi A6. The Mercedes-Benz GLC competes with other luxury SUVs like the BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5.
