The Kia EV6 not only comes equipped with a smaller battery pack but also produces less power than the top-spec Sealion 7. However, when it comes to the claimed range, the EV6 offers significantly higher figures compared to the Sealion 7. That said, both the EVs offer you a choice from two powertrain options.

Rs 60.96 lakh to Rs 65.96 lakh

Pricing-wise, the Sealion 7 undercuts the EV6 substantially, making it the more affordable option, with prices going up to Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, Kia recently revealed the 2025 EV6 facelift at the 2025 Auto Expo, which is expected to start from Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from competing with each other, both electric SUVs also take on the BMW iX1 LWB, Volvo EX40 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Verdict

In conclusion, the BYD Sealion 7 stands out with its larger size and a more potent powertrain setup. Additionally, its aggressive pricing could be the main factor driving customers to opt for it over the EV6. However, the Kia EV6 despite its premium pricing, offers a greater claimed range and has been in the market for some time, potentially making it a more trusted option for buyers.
