Tata Motors has finally revealed the Harrier EV. It was last showcased in its production spec at the Auto Expo 2025 and is set to be launched later this month. With a similar design and form as its ICE counterpart, the Harrier has entered the electrified avatar with subtle alterations and a few additional features. Here’s a detailed overview of the SUV.
The Harrier EV sports a pretty familiar design as the fuel-propelled Harrier except for the EV-specific design updates like a closed-off grille, giving it a cleaner and more futuristic look. The connected LED DRLs sit just above it, maintaining the aggressive styling. The bumper has been refreshed, adding sharper lines for a more modern appearance.

From the side, the Harrier EV retains the familiar silhouette but gets newly designed aero-optimized 5-spoke alloy wheels. An EV badge on the front doors subtly highlights its electric identity.

At the rear, the connected LED tail lights remain, along with a shark fin antenna and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. The tailgate features ‘Harrier EV’ lettering, while the beefed-up bumper and silver skid plate add a bold and rugged touch.

Even in the cabin the Harrier EV’s dashboard layout remains the same as the standard Harrier but comes in a different colour scheme. It retains the four-spoke steering wheel, while the digital driver’s display now features EV-specific graphics.

The Harrier EV gets plenty of similar features as its ICE counterpart. Some of the key features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate. It also gets an exclusive feature called summon mode that allows the car to be moved forward and backwards using the key.
On the safety front, it is likely to get multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS features.
The Tata Harrier EV's powertrain specifications are yet to be revealed however it will have dual electric motors and an all-wheel drivetrain.

The prices for the Tata Harrier EV haven’t been confirmed yet but it can be expected to start around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch it will rival the Mahindra XEV 9e and BYD Atto 3.
