Mahindra XEV 9S To Get Rear Entertainment Screen Holder! Here Is What The Latest Teaser Confirms…

Ahead of the launch date, set for November 27, Mahindra has given us another teaser of the interior of the XEV 9S, which confirms the presence of dedicated entertainment screen holders for the rear passengers! Here is all we know about the XEV 9S so far, and what to expect from it:

2025 Mahindra XEV 9S: Teaser Confirms Rear Screen Holders

In its latest teaser drop, we can now see more clearly what the interior of the XEV 9S will look like. Besides the tri-screen layout on the dashboard and the gloss-black steering wheel, we now get a glimpse into the rear seat of the electric SUV. An interesting detail revealed here is individual rear entertainment screen holders for passengers to mount their tablets on. 

Notably, the teaser also previews a sync-screen feature which mirrors the media from the touchscreen infotainment and passenger entertainment screens up front. 

Besides this, we can also see that the left-rear passenger will also get a foldable tray table, which will prove to be useful, especially for chauffeur-driven buyers. Otherwise, the teaser once again showcases other features that have been confirmed before, including a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting.

2025 Mahindra XEV 9S: Powertrain

While we await confirmation over the powertrain details, the Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to borrow the powertrain setup from its siblings, the XEV 9e and BE 6. However, it could also get an optional dual-motor setup as well giving it a lot more power. Here are the specifications from the XEV 9e’s single-motor setup:

2025 Mahindra XEV 9S: Launch Date, Price And Rivals

Mahindra will likely launch the XEV 9S on November 27 at its ‘Scream Electric’ event set to be held in Bengaluru. While pricing details are yet to be revealed, we expect Mahindra to price it in the range of Rs 21 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). When on sale, it will be the sole 7-seater SUV in its price range, although it could be considered as an alternative to cars like the BYD eMAX 7, Tata Harrier EV and the BYD Atto 3 besides its own sibling, the Mahindra XEV 9e.

One thing is for sure, buyers won’t be complaining about the lack of screens in the XEV 9S, given there is a provision for up to 5! Pair that to the 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system that is likely to be offered, and you will be able to have a proper cinematic experience in this electric SUV over road trips.
