Mahindra XEV 9S Launching On November 27; Here's What To Expect

Mahindra is really excited to make a grand entry into the premium electric SUV market with the all-new XEV 9S, which is expected to debut on November 27 at the brand's ‘Scream Electric’ event. 

Positioned as India's first true 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S is built on Mahindra's INGLO electric-first skateboard platform, the same architecture underpinning the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which promises to combine proper SUV character with electric sophistication.

Form Meets Function

Thanks to the advantages of its electric skateboard architecture, the proportions of the XEV 9S look promising to provide a premium experience. Expect a flat floor, sliding second row, and even a full-sized frunk for what will be one of the most practical electric SUVs in its segment.

Mahindra's teasers show off a familiar yet futuristic approach with clean lines, a muscular stance, and distinct LED signatures that tie in neatly with the brand's "Born Electric" design language. Looking tough was not enough; this one is built to feel premium inside and out.

Screens, Space, and Sound

Step inside, and the XEV 9S takes things a few notches higher. Similar to its sibling, the XEV 9e, the new SUV gets a three-screen setup, one each for the instrument cluster, infotainment, and passenger display. Mahindra has confirmed a Harman Kardon sound system, power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, and toggle-style switches shared with the BE 6 and XEV 9e.

There's also the panoramic skyroof, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and an expected mix of luxury touches, ventilated and massaging front seats, tri-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. It's shaping up to be a cabin that doesn't just tick feature boxes but delivers premium appeal in style.

The XEV 9S could be loaded with safety tech like Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, and 360-degree cameras with both front and rear parking sensors. 

Mahindra never overlooks safety, especially since we know that they have already sold more than 30,000 electric SUVs, which are proudly marching on Indian roads. This assurance can ease buyers moving into EVs with confidence and trust.
