Volvo S60 2019 Latest Updates
The 2019 S60 is the third generation of the Swedish sedan and is based on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture. The S60 is also Volvo’s first ever car to be manufactured at its US facility in South Carolina. This is significant as exports will also originate from the US facility and that has thrown a spanner in Volvo’s ability to get the S60 to Indian buyers quickly.

Volvo S60 2019 Highlights
Like its siblings, you can expect the S60 to sport all the safety bells and whistles we have come to expect from the Swedish manufacturer. Pilot Assist system, City Safety, Run-off-road mitigation systems are all expected, in addition to the many other safety systems that help make Volvos some of the safest cars on our roads. The S60 is expected with a T5 powerplant that sports a 2.0-litre turbo petrol that makes 250PS. There is also a delightful sounding T8 Polestar model that’s been announced. It sports a 415PS plug-in hybrid powerplant. The S60 will take on the likes of the Audi A4, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3 Series.
It will possibly be launched by mid next year. In addition, the S60 might be assembled locally from the start, as both the S90 and the S60 are underpinned by the SPA platform. But it will only happen after Volvo manages to assemble all preceding models locally, including the XC40.
