Volvo’s plans to go all electric by 2030 are in full swing and the change will be seen in the Indian market as well. It begins with the XC40 Recharge, which uses the existing base of the Volvo XC40 but swaps the petrol engine for two electric motors. On the surface, you’d be hard pressed to tell the Recharge apart from the standard XC40 as most of the packaging, be it the looks, interior, features or luxury factor, stay identical.
However, the experience changes drastically once you get behind the wheel. The shift to electric has somehow managed to make the XC40 both kinder and wilder.
