Q. What's changed in Apache BS6 and when it will be launched?
  • The power and torque have been reduced in the BS 6 version. The look has been facelifted and gives more premium feel to the machine. Headlight is upgraded from halogen to full LED which has better luminance. There is no carburetor variant in BS6 as Fi is kept standard. Price for dual disc variant has got up by around 8000. Exhaust has been made more crispier which resembles to KTM. The electric start mechanism has improved, you hear almost no motor noise on pressing the start button. The engine is more tuned to race and RTFi (race tuned fuel injection) has been added. Overall BS6 variant is 30-40% better
  • The most exciting update for the RTR 160 is definitely the bump in power. While the current-gen RTR 160’s engine is the familiar 159.7cc air-cooled one, it now makes 16.04PS and 13.85Nm, 0.51PS more but 0.05Nm less than its predecessor. The new bike is also 2kg lighter than the outgoing model. TVS has replaced the previous-gen RTR 160’s semi-analogue cluster with a new digital unit that facilitates Bluetooth connectivity and also boasts TVS’ SmartXonnect tech with voice assist, a segment-first feature. Also on offer are features like turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator and shift assist, call and notification alerts and more. That said, only the top-of-the-line 2022 RTR 160 gets Bluetooth connectivity. The LCD console also has three riding modes: Sport, Urban and Rain, which can be changed on-the-fly, and alter the throttle mapping as well as ABS sensitivity. It has already been launched. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
  • It don't have any more change in bs4 you get blackish light in speedometer and now you will get the blue light the major change in the bike is it's bs6 engine and some little amount of cut and sketch to give the more sporty look to the bike and no more.

Q. Which is the better option for family bike between Honda unicorn and TV's Apache 160?
  • Among the two, if you are looking for a calm and comfortable bike with a reliable and refined engine, then the Honda Unicorn would be a good option. Unicorn has always been the go-to bike if you were planning to buy a 150cc commuter and with the BS6 update, the Unicorn now gets a larger 163cc fuel-injected, air-cooled engine. With the old-school styling, it still remains a well-rounded motorcycle. On the other hand, if you are looking for sporty motorcycle with bits of modern elements, then you may opt for the TVS Apache RTR 160. Given the RTR 160 2V BS6’s low pricing, it is a viable and relevant stepping stone into the 160cc segment. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Beautiful machine

It was brought in to replace the 220f, However, It's better that the 220f, Period! the 220f hands down was the best bike money could buy till 2021.I have owned 1 myself, So i know. But the f250 is brilliant. It's more refined and smoother than the 220f27000 kms clocked on this beautiful machine! i have to say, Bajaj have really outdone themselves on this one.The fit and finish is good, The engine has a lot of torque available both at the low and mid range which gradually fades away on the top end, Which is fine. You could just cruise on 3rd gear on the speed of 18 kmph and just rev it when you want, Without changing any gears, Effortless.90 kmph to 120 kmph are the sweet spot for this bike, This bike could do it all day.Top speed achieved 147 kmph.6th gear isn't needed. For those who feel the lack of a 6th gear, Surely doesn't know how to ride a bike with tall gearing! milage: 38 kmpl to 45 kmpl vibrations are observed after 116 to 120 kmph. After sale service has been ok for bajaj, Not a fan of it though.Service cost: 1800 to 2500 depending on the services provided by the service center. This was the best budget friendly options we had in our market.Sadly the f250 has been discontinued, But that's a plus point for people like me, Who believed in the f250 and bought it, Now we own a collector piece (brooklyn black, Limited edition).I'm glad i bought this machine at the right time.
