Tata Curvv test mule spotted during emissions testing.
To get Tata’s new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Curvv EV to go on sale ahead of ICE version.
The Tata Curvv has been spotted undergoing emissions testing ahead of its expected launch later this year. It will be the Indian marque’s answer to compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate. That being said, the ICE version will take some time as the all-electric variant will be introduced first.

The ICE-powered Curvv will be powered by Tata’s new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo petrol engine which develops 125 PS and 225 Nm. It should be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For those looking for diesel, it could also be offered with the Nexon’s 1.5-litre unit.

As for styling, the Tata Curvv gets a coupe-like sloping roofline and gets elements such as connected LED tail lamps. We can expect the interiors of the Tata Curvv to get a two-spoke steering wheel, dual displays, and a touch-sensitive AC control panel. Check out more details about the Curvv’s design and interiors in its concept iteration here.

As said before, the Curvv EV will go on sale first before the ICE version. So the combustion engine model is expected to hit showrooms by early next year. The Curvv ICE variants could be priced around Rs. 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom) while the EV model could have a starting price of around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
