Hyundai Venue Facelift 2022 Review | A Lot More Desirable?

The sub-4m SUV segment is set to get hot again. The next-gen Hyundai Venue has been spied, sans camouflage, with a more rugged stance, a premium cabin, and a tech-laden interior.
The new 2025 Venue (model codename QU2i) is all set to be launched in India on November 4, 2025. Going by the appearance, Hyundai is giving its top-selling compact SUV the kind of facelift that will shake the segment once more.
The Venue's second generation holds to its compact dimensions but now appears tougher and more upmarket. The front bumper features a wider, rectangular grille with aggressive horizontal slats, probably inspired by the Creta and Alcazar, giving it a stronger SUV look. Thin DRLs placed close to the bonnet and vertically stacked LED headlamps contribute to the contemporary look, while aggressive cladding, a silver skid plate, and fresh alloy wheels (most likely 16-inch) complete its muscular design.

At the rear, the connected LED taillights, redesigned tailgate, and chiselled bumper give the Venue a wider and more complete appearance. The black shark-fin antenna and crisper detailing complete the design shift effortlessly.

This one's certainly more Creta-looking but does maintain its Venue roots intact.
Step inside, and it’s clear Hyundai wants the Venue to feel more premium. The highlight is a dual-screen layout, integrating something which looks like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, something we’ve seen in higher-end Hyundai and Kia SUVs.

The dashboard design is neater, with horizontal AC vents and streamlined automatic climate controls replacing the place of the older rotary knobs. Expect more premium materials, ambient lighting, and even a separate subwoofer to make the cabin feel more luxurious.
The next-generation Hyundai Venue will likely be loaded with features that bring it closer to Hyundai's high-end SUV lineup. From the spyshot, we expect it to be equipped with ventilated front seats for added comfort during city heat, and a 360-degree camera for convenient parking and manoeuvring.

Convenience features like a dual-zone climate control and panoramic sunroof, and wireless smartphone connectivity might make the cabin experience more premium.

On the safety front, the top trims can get Level-2 ADAS, front parking sensors, and rain-sensing wipers, which can make the Venue into a more advanced and feature-rich rival to its subcompact SUV competitors.
Under the hood, the new Venue is likely to retain the current 1.2-litre petrol, 1-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines, though with possible tweaks for better efficiency and drivability. Transmissions are also expected to be retained, manual, iMT, and DCT, though they could be tuned for improvements.

The India launch is scheduled for November 4, 2025, with a global debut shortly thereafter. With its sharper looks, larger screens, and increased list of features, the new Venue appears ready to regain its position as one of the most feature-packed compact SUVs in India.
The Venue, in its second avatar, looks promising since it is equipped with more tech, designed with more attitude, and plenty of SUV personality. Hyundai appears to be bringing the battle directly to competitors like the Nexon, Brezza, 3XO, Kylaq and Sonet. If priced well, the new-gen Venue has the potential to become one of the most comprehensive compact SUVs available in the Indian market. We expect it to start somewhere around the Rs 8 Lakh mark when launched in India.
