In the latest edition of the Zig performance comparison report, we lineup the Toyota Taisor and Nissan Magnite. Both these models here get a turbo-petrol engine that puts out near identical power figures, but they get different automatic transmissions. Which one manages to cross the line first in our acceleration tests?

While both models here put the same amount of power, the Magnite has a slight edge when it comes to torque output. That said, the Taisor’s engine has a tech advantage - it comes with mild-hybrid technology that assists the engine with torque boost while driving it hard.

Acceleration Test

Yes! The Toyota Taisor is the quicker model here in our 0-100 kmph test, beating the Magnite by just over a second. That said, a more realistic way to look at real-world performance is by comparing the roll-on acceleration times. And even in this department, the Toyota Taisor managed to beat it by 0.6 seconds.
