Driving a brand new Volvo FH16 with 750 horsepower is quite a task. To get the real feel of it, Volvo Trucks has released a game for smartphones and tablets. “The game will be released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of our flagship truck. As part of the celebrations, we’re offering some exciting entertainment for all truck enthusiasts,” says Niclas Hermansson, Digital Marketing Strategist at Volvo Trucks.
The object of the game is to eliminate obstacles in your truck’s path using various finger movements like tapping, linear dragging or circular dragging. Choosing the right gestures and reaction time is what will win enough points to get to the next level.
“It is easy to learn, but hard to master. If you’re good, you can get onto the high-score lists and boast about your results on Facebook and Twitter. There is also a contest on Worldtrucker, our online truck community, where weekly prizes are awarded,” added Hermansson

The game is available at the Apple App Store and the Andriod Market for free. Featuring eight tracks with rising levels of difficulty, the game also offers some facts about Volvo Trucks’ flagship model, the FH16-750, which was launched in September.
The game has been designed keeping in mind Volvo Trucks’ digital marketing. The game website, strongesttruck.com was developed to mark the launch of the Volvo FH16-700 back in 2009. Played more than 15 million times across the globe, this stretegy worked pretty well for Volvo Trucks’.
The minimum requirements of the game are Andriod 2.3 or higher version phone, iPad 2 or iPhone 4 and above with a minimum screen resolution of 480x800 pixels.
