Tata Motors has introduced an update for the Punch by rejigging the variant lineup and introducing new features to the micro SUV. They have added three new variants to the lineup and have made the sunroof more accessible than before.
Tata Motors has introduced three new variants in the Punch lineup – Pure (O), Adventure S and Adventure + S. The main update comes in the form of the Adventure S and Adventure + S, where the sunroof has now become more accessible by Rs 74,000. Earlier, the sunroof was offered from the Accomplished S variant, which was priced at Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Punch gets new features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay connectivity, a revised centre console with armrest and rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, and a Type-C USB port with fast charging capabilities.
It continues to get a 6-speaker Harmon and Kardon system, a push-button start-stop system, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver’s seat, auto fold ORVMs, and a cooled glove box.

The Punch gets various safety features like the tyre pressure monitoring system(TPMS), reverse parking camera, electronic stability program (ESP), and dual-front airbags.
The Tata Punch continues with its existing 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 88PS and 115Nm of torque. The engine is teamed with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. You can also have it with a factory-fitted CNG kit, where the engine output reduces to 73.5 PS. The Tata Punch CNG is offered only with the manual gearbox.
The Tata Punch rivals the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. It will also take on the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios as well as the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
