The second week of 2020 saw a variety of announcements as well as reveals and launches. It kicked off with Kia Motors finally giving the QYI a launch timeline, to Toyota launching the BS6-compliant Innova Crysta. Here’s a quick look at what else transpired over the week gone by:

Kia QYI To Launch By Second Half Of 2020

After a variety of spy shots, Kia Motors has revealed that the upcoming QYI Sonet sub-4m SUV will be launched in the second half of this year. This means that it could be anywhere between July and December. It will be the third Kia car after the Carnival and we expect it to be showcased in some form at Auto Expo 2020. Toyota Innova  BS6 Automatic Launched

Preparations for the BS6 deadline in April have kicked off for Toyota as the carmaker has launched the BS6-compliant version of the Innova Crysta and the Innova Touring Sport. While Toyota has retained the 2.4-litre diesel engine and the 2.7-litre petrol mill, it has decided to not offer the 2.8-litre diesel unit in the BS6 MPV. Jeep India is preparing to launch the Compass’ Limited Plus Diesel Automatic variant by mid-January. And now, sources have confirmed that it could be priced from Rs 25 lakh. This price tag undercuts the flagship Trailhawk variant by nearly Rs 2 lakh. Bookings are also being accepted for a token amount of Rs 50,000. To know more about the new Compass variant, head here.
