As seen in the table, the Defender 90 is up to Rs 6.91 lakh more affordable than the five-door 110 variant.
A Brief Overview

As mentioned earlier, the Defender 90 is essentially a three-door variant of the Defender, while the 110 is the five-door SUV. Both models retain a boxy silhouette while incorporating modern design elements like the squared-out LED headlamps and tail lamps. Of the two, the three-door SUV looks more charming to our eyes, but that comes at the cost of the practicality the 5-door variant offers.

However, both models are capable of seating six people thanks to the option of a foldable jump seat between the front seats. The cabin and features remain the same between both the body styles. In case you're interested in knowing more about the SUV, check out our detailed unveiling report.
New 3.0-litre Turbo-petrol Engine

Along with introducing the Defender 90, Land Rover has silently introduced a 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine, which will be sold alongside the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engines. Here’s a quick look at the specifications of all three engines:

Rivals

The introduction of the Defender 90 makes it the only three-door luxury off-roader in the country at the moment. Its pricing also makes it a niche model in the country. That said, the Defender will have to fend off competition from the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Jeep Wrangler.
