  • Royal Enfield is all set to flag off its Coastal Trail ride from Navi Mumbai on January 26. This epic 12-day long journey will see riders traverse through the scenic western coast of India on RE motorcycles. Participants will get to ride alongside some of the most pristine beaches and beautiful landscapes that states such as Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have to offer. The ride will conclude in Kanyakumari on February 7. Here’s some of the details you need to keep in mind if you’re interested in taking part in the Coastal Trail:

    • A total of 30 participants can register for the ride.
    • The entire package will set you back Rs 22,000 for a single person and Rs 44,000 for couples.
    • This includes stay and boarding arrangements on a twin sharing basis.
    • Breakfast and dinner will be included at all locations.
    • You are expected to pay for your own fuel, lunch, snacks or anything that's not included in the package during the ride.
    • Once your registration is confirmed, it’s non-refundable and non-transferrable.

    Service Back-up

    • Royal Enfield will have mechanics tagging along in the “Gun Wagon” with some basic spare parts.
    • In case of any issues with your bike, riders can replace faulty parts at their own expense.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that we, Zigwheels, will also be a part of this ride. Unfortunately though, we’ll join you guys halfway through the ride due to some “unforeseen” circumstances. That said, we’ll be covering the fun part of the journey from Agonda till Kanyakumari, which will take us through different landscapes and terrains. What’s even better is the fact that we’ll be bringing along the perfect companion for such a journey - the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to test what the bike has to offer and get a feel of how it behaves on the ghats, rough roads and long highway stretches, etc.

Will it make for the perfect tourer? To find out, stay tuned to our social media pages. Meanwhile, let us know what you think about the Interceptor 650 in the comments below. Also, hit us up if you have any questions about the bikes or the journey. We’ll be more than happy to answer your questions.
