The Porsche Panamera is 10 years old! And to commemorate its anniversary, the carmaker has launched the Panamera 4 10 Edition. Based on the all-wheel drive variant, the 4 10 Edition costs Rs 1.60 crore, making it around Rs 10 lakh dearer than the standard model.

How do you know that you’re driving or trailing behind a special edition Panamera? Very simple. Look out for the gold-finished 21-inch alloy wheels and ‘Panamera10’ badging on the front doors. If you spot them, voila. It’s the Panamera 4 10 edition. The changes don’t stop there.

Open the door and you’ll notice that the ‘Panamera10’ badging is present on the door sills and on the passenger side trim of the dashboard. That’s not it. Keen eyes looking for attention to detail can also notice the gold stitching across the black dashboard and seat upholstery. Sweet!

The Panamera 4 10 also comes with a host of standard features such as a panoramic sunroof, a Bose sound system, 14-way adjustable front seats, soft close doors, LED matrix headlamps, park assist and lane change assist.

Powering the Panamera 4 10 Edition is the familiar 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that produces 330PS and 450Nm of force. All that force is transferred to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. How does it reflect on the road? The Panamera is capable of hitting 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds! Press on and it can hit a top speed of 262kmph. To further enhance your driving experience, this edition also packs air suspension which comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard.

When launched, the Porsche Panamera was criticised for its oddball design. However, that didn’t stop it from becoming one of the most successful Porsches ever thanks to the thrill it offered and the ability to seat four in supreme comfort. The Panamera locks horns with the Audi A7 and the Mercedes-Benz CLS.
