Features: The new Porsche Panamera gets a bunch of standard features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.9-inch display for the co-driver, wireless phone charger, 14-speaker Bose sound system, ventilation seat with massage function, ambient lighting and four zones of climate control. Safety kit comprises multiple airbags, ESP, a 360-degree camera, remote park assist and ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and more.

Engine: The India-spec Porche Panamera gets a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with an output of 353PS and 500Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission unit that sends power to the rear wheels only and can do 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. It has a top speed of 272kmph. There’s also a 680PS 4-litre V8 strong-hybrid powertrain option available in international markets, which can do 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 320 km/h.

Rivals: The Porche Panamer’s chief rival in India is the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S e-Performance 4-door Coupe.

Porsche wasted no time in launching the new Panamera in India just moments after its global unveiling. With a price tag of Rs Rs 1.68 crore (ex-showroom), India only gets the V6 version, but the more powerful V8 model could be offered later down the line.

It is an evolution of the outgoing model, with modest exterior revisions and a familiar cabin. Big changes come in the form of new powertrain options, which integrate hybrid tech better than before along with a revised suspension setup.
