Kia is all set to bring back its premium MPV, the Carnival, in its fourth-gen avatar in India. It has already been unveiled and will be brought in as a fully imported model on our shores. The key change in the India-spec Carnival is that it will only be available in a 7-seater layout, unlike before when multiple seating configurations were offered. It will also be available in just two variants. And here's everything you need to know about the 2024 Carnival ahead of its launch tomorrow.
Compared to the previous-generation model we saw on our roads, the 2024 Carnival boasts an overall SUV-like design. Up front, it features a wider grille, complemented by vertically stacked LED headlights and L-shaped DRLs, giving it a muscular appearance. Its profile is enhanced by redesigned, sportier-looking 18-inch alloy wheels and the addition of body cladding give the van-like silhouette a rugged look. The rear, as seen with most new Kia cars, now features connected LED tail lamps.
Interior of the 2024 Carnival feels upmarket with modern technology and high-quality materials used throughout the cabin. The interior theme varies based on the variant you pick – the base Limousine variant comes in a dark blue and grey scheme, while the top-spec Limousine Plus variant features a brown and black cabin theme which looks more premium. As mentioned earlier, it will be available with only a single 7-seat layout configuration.
The 2024 Kia Carnival comes equipped with features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a 11-inch heads-up display (HUD), powered and ventilated seats for first and second-row passengers, wireless phone charging, three-zone climate control, electrically operated rear sliding doors and connected car tech.

Safety is taken care of by 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front, rear and side parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system and level-2 ADAS featuring forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
Kia will offer the India-spec Carnival with single 193 PS/ 441 Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine choice. It is mated to 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system. Globally, it is offered with a V6 petrol engine.
We expect Kia to price the 2024 Carnival from Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. Upon launch, it will serve as a premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
