What do you get for the money? A sportier looking SUV! For starters, the Landmark Edition is available in three ‘exclusive’ colours - Narvik Black, Yulong White and Corris Grey. No matter which colour you pick, Land Rover will paint the roof in a dark Carpathian Grey shade. You also get a sporty-looking front bumper as well as 18-inch alloy wheels to round things off.

On the inside, there are subtle updates. The centre-stack gets dark grey aluminium trims instead of brushed aluminium ones, while the leather upholstery and the headliner are now finished in black. There are no additions on the features front. Highlights here include an 8-inch touchscreen with in-built navigation, a 10-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, and 10-way electrically adjustable front seats.

Under the hood is a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel motor that makes 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. That’s enough to get the Discovery Sport up to 100kmph in 9.9 seconds, and on to a top speed of 188kmph. There’s Land Rover’s Terrain Response tech too, just in case you plan on getting adventurous with your luxury SUV.

Land Rover’s Discovery Sport offers a unique proposition - the practicality of optional seven seats - as it battles the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
