Kia Motors has unveiled its new brand logo to depict its upcoming transformation. The new logo was unveiled at Incheon, Korea, after the carmaker announced its Plan-S strategy focussed on electric mobility. The carmaker has also revealed its new slogan, ‘Movement that inspires’.
While the old logo featured the word KIA written boldly inside an oval, the new logo is more symmetrical and angular. In fact, Kia says the new logo features three broad elements: ‘symmetry’, ‘rhythm’ and ‘rising’.
Rhythm: The unbroken rhythmical line conveys Kia’s commitment to bringing moments of inspiration.
Symmetry: The logo’s symmetrical design infuses confidence.
Rising: It depicts the carmaker’s future ambitions for the customers.
Commenting on the latest development, Kia’s President and CEO, Ho Sung Song, said, “The automotive industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation and Kia is proactively shaping and adapting to these changes. Our new logo represents our desire to inspire customers as their mobility needs evolve, and for our employees to rise to the challenges we face in a fast-changing industry.”
Kia will be revealing its strategies and new brand purpose on January 15. Stay tuned.
