Honda Navi

Honda unveiled the Navi at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year. The Navi is a cross between a scooter and mini-motorcycle. The 'mini-bike' was launched with a price tag of Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda sold around 10,000 units within a few months of the launch and now the Japenese bikemaker has announced that the sales of the Navi have crossed the 50,000 unit mark prior to the festive season.

Within just six months of its launch, Honda has clocked the 50,000 sales figure for the 'mini-bike', which is decent enough for this new offering from Honda. The Navi is also highlighted as the top-10 highest selling scooters across the country. After seeing such demands for the Navi, Honda has planned to double the production for it to almost 1 lakh units per annum. Moreover, the utility box that fits under the tank on the Navi, showcased in the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, is now being offered as an option.

The 'mini-bike' is powered by the same tried and tested 110cc four-stroke engine which also powers the Activa, and is capable of pumping 8PS of power and 9Nm of torque. It has a fuel tank capacity of 3.8 litres and returns a fuel efficiency figure of 60kmpl, as claimed by Honda. It also features telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Honda is currently selling the Navi in just 10 cities across India, but now, seeing the growing demand for the Navi, the Japanese two-wheeler giant is planning to set its footprints in other cities to expand the sales.
