Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched two new 2015 editions of Aviator and Activa i automatic scooters.
Engines remain unchanged on the 2015 editions of Honda automatic scooters with both editions carrying the same powerplant - Honda's existing 109cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that produces 8.1PS power and 8.74Nm maximum torque.
Honda has now completed launches of eight new two wheelers in just six months of the calendar year 2015.
“Honda’s future growth in India will be co-driven by its scooter portfolio. Even as Honda dominates this segment with every second scooter being sold today in India being a Honda, we are further strengthening our leadership with the two new scooter launches today,” said Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd.
HMSI also took its association with women forward, strengthening the Honda brand’s emotional connect with female fans in India, by signing on youth icon and popular actor Taapsee Pannu as brand ambassador.

The 2015 edition of the Activa i has been launched in two variants – with a Standard variant in four colours – black, pearl amazing white, autumn beige metallic and alpha red metallic. The new Activa i Deluxe variant sports trendy floral graphics to attract young female riders and will be available in two colours – pearl amazing white and orchid purple metallic. The Activa i Standard variant has been priced at Rs 46,213 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Activa i Deluxe has been priced at Rs 46,703 (ex-showroom Delhi).
