A few weeks after Fiat unveiled the Tipo saloon that is slated to replace the aging Linea, images of its hatchback version are surfacing on the internet. The Tipo hatch is expected to have the same front end design like its sedan sibling. Move on to the back and the Tipo hatch gets its distinct identity. While it was difficult to figure out the exact design due to the heavy camouflage, it couldn’t hide the sharp edge at the end of the glass house and the arc shaped taillights. The Fiat Tipo hatch is also expected to sport a tail gate mounted spoiler.
Step inside and the Tipo Hatch will look pretty similar to its sedan sibling. It gets a twin-pod instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls a large touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard seems to be dual tone black and grey with brushed aluminium bits in certain places.

As far as the engine options are concerned, in the international market, the Fiat Tipo hatch will come with two petrol and two diesel engine options. The petrol powered Tipo gets a 1.4-litre Multiair and the 1.6-litre E-Torq units. The diesel on the other hand will get the much loved 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre Multijet II units. These units are expected to be mated to a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
With the Tipo saloon and the hatchback version, Fiat will start an all-new assault in the automotive space. The Italian car maker will debut the Tipo hatchback at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
