While the world had its eyes firmly fixed on the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, Bugatti privately took the covers off their latest concept in Molsheim, the historic site where Ettore Bugatti once laid the cornerstone of his company.
Bugatti 16 C Galibier Concept highlights

The Bugatti 16 C Galibier Concept picks the torpedo-like design cues from the classic Type 35 that were already revived in the Veyron and reinterprets them to give us the first modern 4-door Bugatti. One of the Galibier's most striking features is undoubtedly its two-tone outer shell, which is comprised of both polished aluminum for the doors and front fenders and a unique dark blue carbon fiber weave that shines through when illuminated.

While the Galibier is powered by the same monstrous 8-litre W16 nuclear reactor of an engine from the Veyron, unlike its mid-engine rocketship sister, the Galibier plonks it in the front and also features another of that classic Bugatti tradition - a split opening hood. With the green parade in charge these days though, this engine has been tuned to be run on ethanol as well. But with such vast amounts of unbridled power on tap, the Galibier easily lifts the crown of the most powerful four-door automobile in the world. And if initial estimates are to be believed, this elegant saloon should be able to hit speeds in excess of 350km/h!
