Aston Martin declared the coolest brand in the UK

A poll conducted in the United Kingdom surveying an array of leading contemporary design driven brands has declared its results. Just to give you an idea some of the brands under the survey were Bang & Olufsen, Apple and leading automotive brands. The exquisite sports car maker Aston Martin was voted to be the coolest brand in the UK surpassing other specialist luxury product makers and automotive brands for the second time. 

The CoolBrands initiative was setup in 2001 in the UK to judge style, innovation, authenticity, originality and desirability of experts and customers alike within England. 10,000 brands and initially identified and shot listed to 1,500, a panel of experts and consumers then vote for the most highly rated 500 brands within that list. This year’s council of 36 influencers includes music artist Jessie J, DJ and Bestival founder Rob da Bank and actress and fashion designer, Sadie Frost.

Stephen Cheliotis, Chief Executive, The Centre for Brand Analysis and Chairman of the CoolBrands Council commented: “Smooth, sexy and sophisticated; British built, high quality and hand finished, let’s be honest, young or old, male or female, opinion former or British public, who wouldn’t aspire to own what is truly the coolest car on the road. Number one in five of the last six years, this British icon is truly the coolest of the cool.”

Over the last decade the Aston Martin brand has gone from being a small scale luxury car maker to become one of the world’s best known luxury sports car brands. The current line-up of Aston Martin cars includes the super special One-77 hypercar, the brutal V12 Zagato, the powerful V12 and V8 Vantage range, the DB9 and the DBS, the new Virage, the Rapide, the recently launched DBS Carbon Series and the Cygnet city car. 

Aston Martin is currently operating in 42 countries through 136 dealers as of now. Recently it has opened a dealership here in Mumbai, India and in other countries like Istanbul, Turkey and Las Vegas, USA. Aston also plans to open four more dealerships in China over the next twelve months. The brand has aggressive plans for expanding its global market share, and fill the streets of the world with a few more of their beautiful cars.
