Skoda India has launched the refreshed Yeti in India. The 2014 Skoda Yeti has been priced at Rs 18.63 lakh and is the third launch by the Czech carmaker after the new Octavia and Superb. The facelifted Skoda Yeti was first showcased to Indian audiences at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. In terms of design, the styling of the 2014 Skoda Yeti is similar to the older model but it has been toned down a little to make it more subtle and sophisticated. It gets new bi-xenon head lamps with LED DRLs, new bumpers with new air intakes and fog lamp design, re-profiled fenders and mildly redesigned tail gate and LED tail lights. Further to all these changes the 2014 Skoda Yeti also gets new alloy wheels.

On to the interiors, the 2014 Skoda Yeti has been offered in only one equipment trim – Elegance. The design and layout of the interiors hasn’t changed much from the older car barring the new 3-spoke steering wheel but the quality of plastics has been improved. In terms of features the 2014 Skoda Yeti gets equipped with Bluetooth telephony, keyless entry, electronically adjustable driver seat, cruise control, multifunctional steering wheel and a tyre pressure monitoring system. In terms of safety, the 2014 Skoda Yeti sports six airbags, ABS, traction control system and electronic stability program.

Powering the 2014 Skoda yeti is a 2-litre, four cylinder diesel engine (there's no petrol on offer), in two states of trim, 4x2 and 4x4 options. The front-wheel drive version is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and generates 110PS of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. The 4x4 gets the more powerful motor churning out 140PS and 320Nm and is also offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, automatic transmission has been given a miss. In the Indian four-wheeler market the 2014 Skoda Yeti will be pitched against likes of the upcoming Renault Duster 4x4. At this price point, the 2014 Skoda Yeti is considerably pricier than Duster 4x4 but it has more features and is a premium car overall. Also Read: 2014 Skoda Yeti Review
