Model History :

The 508 was introduced by Fiat in 1932, effectively as a replacement for the 509 – Fiat's model designation chronology defying every one! It had a three-speed transmission at launch but an additional cog was added in 1934. It was simple motoring for four in typical Italian style. The car could do a max. speed of 85km/h and was produced in large numbers in Italy, Poland and France (branded as the Simca-Fiat 6CV). In all 113,000 units of the 3-speed version were produced from 1932 to 1937 while 71,700 4-speed Balillas were made.
