MG Motor India has confirmed the prices of the Astor’s optional Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which actually come together to make a new top-spec trim, ‘Savvy’. Priced from Rs 15.78 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Savvy is the fifth trim in the SUV’s lineup, joining the Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp.

As you see in the table above, the Savvy trim retails for a premium ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 90,000 over the Sharp, depending on the engine option.

So what’s on offer in the MG Astor Savvy? Basically, everything from the Astor Sharp plus the range of autonomous driver assists like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, and lane-keeping/departure assist. Other passenger safety features include up to six airbags, ABS+EBD, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill descent control.

The compact SUV gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a segment-first personal AI assistant, a 7-inch digital driver display, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and multiple design options for the 17-inch alloy wheels.

The MG Astor Savvy has been provided with 110PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (with only an 8step CVT) and 140PS 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines (with a 6-speed automatic as standard).

You can officially book the MG Astor from October 21, and the first 5,000 units will be delivered in November and December this year. The SUV takes on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, MG Hector, and the Mahindra XUV700’s five-seater variants.
