Tata has introduced a new XM CNG variant for the Tigor and has priced it at Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-compact sedan is now available with three CNG variants - XM, XZ, and XZ+ - with the CNG range topping out at Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Tigor XM CNG saves you Rs 50,000 from the XZ but misses out on electrically adjustable ORVMs, fog lamps, tweeters and the push-button start-stop feature.

The XM variant is still equipped with a 2-DIN infotainment system, four-speaker Harman Sound System, all-four power windows, dual front airbags, central locking and rear parking sensors. It will be available in four colours - Opal White, Daytona Grey, Arizona Blue, and Deep Red.

The Tata Tigor XM CNG continues with the existing 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine, rated at 73PS and 95Nm. It gets a 5-speed manual transmission, while the automatic transmission is limited to the petrol variants. The CNG variants’ fuel efficiency is rated at 26.49km/kg.

The Tata Tigor CNG competes with the CNG variants of the Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Aura. The Tata sedan is priced from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
