Honda Unveils All-New CB500 In India, CB350 Range Gets Fresh Colours

Ola Electric held its annual customer day event on August 15, 2023, at the Ola Future Factory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, where it launched new scooters, revealed new information about the upcoming MoveOS 4 feature, and showcased upcoming motorcycle concepts.

Ola launched the new S1 Pro Gen 2 at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom, including FAME 2 subsidy), built on the EV maker’s all-new Gen-2 platform. Design-wise, the biggest change from the outside is that it now gets a flat floorboard and a telescopic fork at the front. Other changes include an 11kW motor, an ARAI-claimed range of 195km, a top speed of 120kmph, and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.6 seconds.

Also launched at the event was the all-new S1 X range of scooters which consists of the S1 X+, S1 X (2kWh) and S1 X (3kWh). All three get a 6kW motor. The S1 X+ and the S1 X (3kWh) get a 3kWh capacity battery while the S1 X (2kWh) gets a 2kWh capacity battery. The S1 X+ and the S1 X (3kWh) get an ARAI claimed range of 151km and a top speed of 90kmph while the S1 X (2kWh) gets an ARAI claimed range of 91km and a top speed of 85kmph.

Ola also introduced the upcoming MoveOS 4, the beta version of which will be available as an over-the-air (OTA) update from September 15, with the full-scale version slated to be available from October. The MoveOS 4 will get these features -

The EV maker also introduced four upcoming motorcycles - Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster, and Cruiser. Ola says all these motorcycles will be introduced by the end of 2024.

The Diamondhead will be a supersport e-motorcycle and also the manufacturer’s flagship product. It gets sharp and minimalistic design lines with thin LED headlight and taillight strips. It is expected to fetch a price tag of Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Adventure will be an electric ADV and gets a tall seat height along with a high-rise fender integrated with the tank, a big windscreen, and an upside-down (USD) fork and spoked wheels. The Roadster, as the name suggests, is styled like a naked bike, with a slim headlight unit, upright riding stance, mid-set footpegs, and an upside-down (USD) fork and monoshock. And finally, the Cruiser has a more relaxed riding posture with forward-set footpegs.

The Adventure, Cruiser, and Roadster are expected to have price tags of Rs 3 lakh, Rs 2.7 lakh and Rs 2.5 Lakh (all ex-showroom).

And finally, Ola Electric announced the launch of 100 new service centres across India to add to its network of 500+ service centres.
