MG To Sell Upcoming Premium Models In India Via New “Select” highlights

Today, MG Motor India has announced the introduction of “MG Select,” the opening of a new chain of showrooms that will specifically sell the carmaker’s upcoming premium models. The new showrooms will be introduced in 12 major cities in the first phase and will have a bespoke setting to cater to the customers.

All of this is being done ahead of MG’s first premium vehicle launch, which will take place in the first quarter of 2025. And over the next two years, MG will expand its portfolio of premium models to four vehicles. Which vehicle will be launched first is yet to be announced, but what we do know is that the models will be primarily electrified ones such as plug-in hybrids.

Commenting on the news, Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said, “The traditional concept of purchasing is evolving, with Indian consumers increasingly shifting towards accessible luxury. MG Select aims to position itself as a key player in this segment by offering an elevated brand experience to new-age customers, who aspire for premium brands. Infused with personalisation and driven by innovation, the MG Select experience centres will offer a curated experience to customers, blending culture, hospitality, sustainability, innovation and craftsmanship, and reimagining luxury.”
