MG Motor India is all set to unveil the Majestor tomorrow, marking the brand’s entry into a more premium, full-size SUV space. Ahead of its official debut, MG has already given us a fairly clear idea of what to expect by revealing the MG Rakan in Kuwait. Essentially a facelifted version of the Gloster sold under a different name, the Majestor will be MG India’s new flagship SUV when it arrives.
So before the covers come off tomorrow, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming MG Majestor.
We already have a fair idea of what the Majestor looks like thanks to its showcase at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, along with teasers and spy shots. The Rakan, however, confirms most of those details.
Up front, the Majestor gets a completely reworked face compared to the Gloster. You’ll notice slim LED DRLs positioned high up, a large rectangular grille finished in gloss black and vertically stacked LED headlamps housed lower down. Faux silver skid plates and a chunky bumper give it a proper ladder-frame SUV stance.

From the side, the silhouette remains familiar, closely resembling the MG Gloster, but the Majestor gets newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels and black cladding along the lower sections to add visual muscle.

At the rear, the SUV features connected LED tail lamps, a revised bumper and silver skid plates. Apart from the badging, there’s little to visually separate the Rakan from what we expect the India-spec Majestor to look like.

Inside, the Majestor is expected to take a noticeable step up in terms of ambience. The Rakan previews a dual-tone brown-and-white cabin theme, though MG could mix up the colour options for Indian buyers.

The dashboard layout is new, with a more boxy design and a clean, modern look. You get a simple three-spoke steering wheel, a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Notably, the Majestor is also expected to be offered with a 7-seat layout, making it a proper alternative to other full-size SUVs in the segment. A massive panoramic sunroof should further enhance the sense of space inside the cabin.
While MG hasn’t officially confirmed the full India-spec feature list yet, the Rakan gives us a strong hint of what’s coming.
Expected features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, powered front seats with a massaging function, a 12-speaker JBL sound system and three-zone climate control. For India, MG could sweeten the deal further with ventilated front and rear seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, multiple wireless charging pads and a powered tailgate.

On the safety front, the Majestor is likely to come equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, all-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, the Rakan sold in Kuwait gets a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, producing significantly higher outputs than the India-spec Gloster.
However, the Majestor for India is expected to borrow its powertrain lineup from the Gloster, which means two diesel options could be on offer.

This setup should ensure the Majestor delivers strong highway performance along with serious off-road capability.

The MG Majestor is expected to be positioned above the Gloster, which currently retails between Rs 38.33 lakh and Rs 43.16 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect prices for the Majestor to fall in the Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
Once launched, it will go up against rivals like the Toyota Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and the new Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
With the Majestor, MG seems ready to play the long game in the premium SUV space. The bold new design, plush interior, extensive feature list and proven diesel powertrains make it a serious alternative to the segment’s established players.
The big question now is pricing, and we’ll get clarity on that soon enough. Stay tuned as we bring you all the details once the MG Majestor is officially unveiled tomorrow.
