The interior is where the significant changes are present as the XUV700 is already available with an all-black exterior. The Ebony Edition features an all-black interior with contrasting silver accents. The leatherette seats are now draped in black and get contrast silver stitching. To complement the dark theme, there are plenty of shiny gloss black elements all over the cabin. Furthermore, you get silver finishes and dark chrome accents on bits like the AC vent surrounds, steering wheel and AC knobs.
To keep the vibe airy and spacious, the roofliner is offered in a light grey colour theme to break the dark theme a bit.
The XUV700 Ebony Edition comes with a Stealth Black body colour. This shade of black is shinier than the Napoli Black colour which is also available with the XUV700.
While the overall design of the XUV700 remains the same, it gets blacked-out elements to complement the Stealth Black shade. The front end features a black grille while you also get contrasting silver skid plates.
In profile, it features black 18-inch alloy wheels and black door handles. You get the Ebony badging on the front door and tailgate. Rest of the elements such as LED tail lights, roof-mounted spoiler, a shark fin antenna, and a rear washer and wiper are all carried over from the regular version.
Since it is based on the top-spec variants, it comes loaded to the brim with top-notch convenience and safety features. The top ones include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat with memory functionality, a panoramic sunroof, and a dual-zone climate control.
Safety is taken care of by level-2 ADAS, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and as many as 7 airbags.
The Ebony Edition is available in both petrol and diesel configurations. It can be had only with the front-wheel drivetrain. Here is a look at the specifications:
