Mahindra has started deliveries of the XUV700 from today. The petrol variants will be handed over first, followed by the diesel variants from the last week of November. The carmaker plans to deliver 14,000 SUVs by January 14, 2022.

The XUV700 is offered in four broad trims -- MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7 -- and two seating options: 5-seater and 7-seater. Prices start from Rs 12.49 lakh going all the way up to Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). We reckon this is pretty aggressive pricing, considering the features on offer.

Highlights include a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, a panoramic sunroof, and Alexa-integrated connected car tech.

The optional Luxury Pack in the AX7 (at a Rs 1.8 lakh premium) provides additional features like a Sony 3D sound system, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, a wireless phone charger, and an electronic parking brake.

Safety features include up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control. Then there are the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning.

The XUV700 gets the choice of 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. In the top-spec AX7’s diesel-automatic variant, you get optional AWD.
