Mahindra has been basking in the glory of the success of the XUV700, which has already been booked by more than 65,000 customers since October 7. And while a lengthy waiting period is a certainty, the carmaker plans to deliver 14,000 units of the SUV by January 14 next year.
For context, deliveries of the petrol variants will begin from October 30, followed by diesel from the last week of November.
Mahindra’s midsize SUV is priced from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s offered in two seating configurations: 5- and 7-seater and four trims: MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7. The last one can be teamed with an optional Luxury Pack for a premium of Rs 1.8 lakh. For the extra money, you get a Sony 3D sound system, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, a wireless phone charger, and an electronic parking brake.
This brings us to the XUV700’s features, which comprise a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display, Alexa connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a powered driver’s seat.
