The recall pertains to the manual variants of the two cars.
Over 6,500 units of Scorpio N and over 12,000 units of the XUV700 have been recalled.
These vehicles were manufactured between July and November 2022.
Mahindra will contact customers and fix their affected vehicles free of cost.
Mahindra has put out a recall for 6,618 units of the Scorpio N and 12,566 units of the XUV700. These vehicles were manufactured between July 1 and November 11, 2022 and the fault is in the rubber bellow inside the bell housing of the SUVs’ manual variants.
The carmaker states this fault is due to a sorting process error from the supplier’s end which may have affected the dimensional clearance of these rubber bellows. Both vehicles are manufactured in Mahindra’s Chakan facility in Pune.
Mahindra dealerships will contact the owners of the affected vehicles individually and will run a limited inspection on the cars. If the fault is found, the marque will fix the vehicle free of charge.
Note: If you’re contacted by the carmaker for this error, we recommend you visit your nearest Mahindra dealership for an inspection.
