Hyundai has just launched the Creta N Line, the sportier iteration of the standard Creta. It packs the same turbo-petrol engine as the regular car, but with the option of a manual gearbox as well. So here’s how the Creta N Line’s claimed fuel efficiency figures compare with that of the standard Creta.

  • There’s no surprise that the diesel engine is the most efficient.

  • Despite sharing the same engine and gearbox (DCT), the Creta N Line sports a slightly lower fuel efficiency figure than the standard Creta’s 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and DCT combo.

  • The 6-speed manual with the turbo-petrol engine returns a claimed 18kmpl, which is just slightly lower than the 18.2kmpl figure of the 7-speed DCT (Creta N Line).

  • The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine is the least fuel efficient of the lot.
