Citroen revealed Basalt’s exterior design ahead of August India debut

Production largely similar to the concept, except for smaller dual-tone alloys

Features a sloping roofline, meeting the neatly integrated tailgate and LED tail lamps

Though front-end design not revealed, it will feature LED projector headlights

Interior yet to be revealed, but teaser has confirmed presence of beige upholstery

Automatic climate control included, indicating it could get more features than C3 and C3 Aircross

Other features include 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment and 7-inch digital driver’s display

Likely to get 110 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, teamed with 6-speed MT and AT

Basalt expected to be priced from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom)

It will lock horns with Tata Curvv as well as other compact SUVs such as Hyundai Creta
